DESCRIPTION
The Camshaft is a vital component of an internal combustion engine that controls the opening and closing of the engine's valves. It is responsible for regulating the flow of air and fuel into and out of the engine cylinders. The Camshaft rotates in time with the crankshaft, and its lobes push on valve lifters or cam followers to open and close the valves. The shape, size, and arrangement of these lobes determine how much air and fuel enters each cylinder during the intake stroke, as well as how much exhaust gas is expelled during the exhaust stroke.
