DESCRIPTION
The Water Bypass Connection, also known as Part Number 43690, is a component of a truck's cooling system that allows for the bypassing of coolant around the engine in certain conditions. This connection is typically located near the thermostat housing and consists of a small hose or pipe that connects to both the engine block and the radiator. When the engine is cold, this connection allows coolant to flow directly from the radiator to the engine block without passing through the thermostat, which helps to warm up the engine more quickly. Once the engine reaches operating temperature, however, a valve in this connection will open and allow coolant to flow through the thermostat as normal. This part is essential for maintaining proper temperature control in a truck's engine and ensuring efficient operation of its cooling system.
