DESCRIPTION
A Connection Gasket, also known as a flange gasket or pipe gasket, is a sealing component used to prevent leaks between two connecting surfaces in a truck's exhaust system. The gasket is placed between the flanges of the exhaust pipe and manifold or muffler to create a tight seal. It is typically made of high-temperature resistant materials such as graphite, stainless steel, or ceramic fiber to withstand the extreme heat and pressure generated by the engine. The connection gasket plays an important role in maintaining proper engine performance by preventing exhaust leaks which can lead to decreased power output and increased emissions.
