DESCRIPTION
A Flexible Coupling, also known as a flex plate, is a component that connects the engine to the transmission in a truck. It is designed to allow for slight misalignments between the two components and absorb shock and vibration. The Flexible Coupling consists of a metal plate with splines on both sides that connect to the engine and transmission, respectively. It is held in place by bolts or screws and may also have an attached damper assembly to further reduce vibrations. The Part Number 4966921 refers to a specific model of Flexible Coupling that is compatible with certain types of engines and transmissions.
