DESCRIPTION
A flexible coupling is a mechanical device used to connect two shafts together at their ends for the purpose of transmitting torque. The 5343033 model, also known as a flexplate, is specifically designed for use in heavy-duty trucks. It consists of two flanges with an elastomeric material sandwiched between them. This design allows for some degree of misalignment and torsional flexibility while still maintaining a strong connection between the two shafts. Flexible couplings are commonly used in power transmission applications such as the connection between an engine and a transmission or driveline in order to compensate for vibrations and misalignments that can occur during operation.
