DESCRIPTION
A Banjo Connector Union with part number 5412897 is a type of hose fitting commonly used in diesel engines. It consists of a hollow bolt with multiple holes on one end, known as the "banjo," and a hollow body on the other end that accepts a fuel or oil line. The banjo bolt passes through the body and connects to a second banjo connector union, allowing fluid to flow through both unions via the holes in the bolt. This design allows for increased flow capacity and flexibility in routing fuel or oil lines around engine components. Banjo connector unions are often used in high-pressure applications where traditional hose fittings may not be suitable due to their limited flow capacity or tendency to leak under pressure.
