DESCRIPTION
A Flexible Coupling (part number C6144715760) is a mechanical device that connects two rotating shafts allowing for misalignment while transmitting torque. It consists of two halves, often made of metal, connected by a flexible element such as rubber or nylon. The flexible element absorbs any misalignment between the shafts and dampens vibrations. Flexible couplings are commonly used in automotive applications such as connecting the transmission output shaft to the driveshaft, or connecting the engine crankshaft to the transmission input shaft.
