DESCRIPTION
The Cooler Plate, also known as part number 4078962, is an essential component of a truck's cooling system. It is typically located within the radiator or intercooler and serves to dissipate heat from the engine coolant or charge air passing through it. The plate consists of a series of fins that increase surface area for improved heat transfer and is often constructed from aluminum or copper for its high thermal conductivity. As hot coolant or air flows through the plate, it transfers its heat to the metal fins which in turn transfer it to the surrounding air passing over them. This process helps regulate engine temperature and prevent overheating, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the vehicle.
