DESCRIPTION
The Cylinder Block, also known as the engine block, is the main structure of an internal combustion engine. It houses the cylinders and provides support for other engine components such as the crankshaft and pistons. The Cylinder Block is usually made of cast iron or aluminum alloy, with high strength and heat resistance to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures generated during engine operation. It contains several passages for lubrication, coolant circulation, and fuel injection. The Cylinder Block needs to be precisely machined to ensure accurate cylinder bore size, piston fitment, and alignment of all mating surfaces.
