DESCRIPTION
The cylinder block is the main component of an engine, responsible for holding and arranging the cylinders where combustion takes place. It is a large metal structure that houses several internal components such as pistons, crankshaft, and connecting rods. The cylinder block is also responsible for sealing the combustion chamber from the oil and coolant passages that run through it.
