DESCRIPTION
A Cylinder Block Stiffener Plate, also known as a reinforcement plate or engine block stiffener, is a metal plate that is bolted onto the bottom of the engine block to provide additional structural support. The Cylinder Block Stiffener Plate is designed to prevent flexing and distortion of the engine block under heavy loads or high-performance conditions. This component helps reduce vibration, noise and harshness, and improves durability and longevity of the engine. The 4920749 Cylinder Block Stiffener Plate is a specific part number used for certain models of trucks that require this reinforcement plate.
