DESCRIPTION
The Cylinder Head (part number 3957408RX) is a crucial component of the engine block in a truck. It sits on top of the cylinders and seals them to create combustion chambers. The cylinder head houses the intake and exhaust valves, along with the spark plugs or injectors, depending on whether the engine is gasoline or diesel powered. The head also contains passages for coolant to flow through to keep the engine from overheating. Made from durable materials such as aluminum or cast iron, cylinder heads must withstand high temperatures and pressures while maintaining a tight seal to prevent leaks.
