DESCRIPTION
The Cylinder Head Gasket, also known as the head gasket, is an essential component of an internal combustion engine. It sits between the cylinder head and engine block and helps to seal the combustion chamber, ensuring that there is no leakage of gases or fluids. The gasket is made from a variety of materials such as metal, rubber or composite materials depending on the application. Its primary purpose is to maintain compression within the engine and prevent coolant from entering into the combustion chamber. A faulty cylinder head gasket can result in loss of compression, overheating or mixing of oil and coolant which can lead to serious engine damage if not addressed promptly.
