DESCRIPTION
The Cylinder Head (part number 5404060) is a vital component in the engine of a truck. It sits above the cylinders and contains channels for fuel and air, as well as passages for exhaust gases to escape. The cylinder head forms the top of the combustion chamber, sealing it from the crankcase and allowing compression to take place within. It also houses the valves that control intake and exhaust flow to each cylinder. The cylinder head must be made of durable materials that can withstand high temperatures and pressures, while maintaining a tight seal with the engine block. A damaged or worn cylinder head can lead to decreased performance, loss of power, or even catastrophic engine failure.
