DESCRIPTION
A Cylinder Liner Bore Insert, also known as a sleeve, is a replaceable component that fits inside the cylinder bore of an engine block. The purpose of the liner is to provide a smooth and durable surface for the piston to move up and down in, while also preventing direct contact between the piston rings and the metal of the engine block. The 4918104 model is designed specifically for use in certain truck engines and features precise measurements to ensure proper fitment. When installed correctly, this liner insert can help extend the life of an engine by reducing wear on critical components such as pistons and rings.
