DESCRIPTION
A cylinder liner, also known as a sleeve, is a replaceable cylindrical component that fits inside the engine block and provides a smooth surface for the piston to move up and down. The cylinder liner helps maintain proper compression within the engine by sealing off combustion gases from the crankcase.
