DESCRIPTION
A Dowell Spacer, also known as a dowel pin spacer, is a small cylindrical component used in the assembly of an engine block. It is typically made of steel and is designed to precisely align two mating components. The Dowell Spacer has a series of holes that are used to hold it in place while the rest of the engine components are being assembled. One end of the spacer has a slightly larger diameter than the other, allowing it to fit snugly into one component while still providing enough clearance for the other component to slide into place. The Dowell Spacer ensures that all parts are aligned correctly, which helps reduce wear and tear on both engine components and prolongs their lifespan.
