DESCRIPTION
The Diamond Dowel (part number 102957) is a component used in the construction of concrete pavements. It consists of two cylindrical dowels that are inserted into holes drilled on either side of a joint in the pavement. The dowels are made from high-strength steel and have diamond-shaped cross-sections, which provide increased resistance to lateral movement while allowing for vertical movement due to thermal expansion and contraction. The Diamond Dowel helps to ensure proper alignment and load transfer between adjacent pavement slabs, improving the overall durability and longevity of the pavement structure.
