DESCRIPTION
A Diamond Dowel is a truck component that is used to align and connect two adjacent concrete slabs in highway construction. The dowel consists of a diamond-shaped metal plate with two protruding steel rods that are inserted into pre-drilled holes on either side of the joint. Once installed, the dowel allows for movement between the slabs while still maintaining proper alignment and load transfer. The use of Diamond Dowels helps to prevent cracking and uneven settling in concrete highways, improving safety for drivers and extending the life of the roadway.
