The Electronic Control Module (ECM), also known as the engine control module, is a critical component in modern trucks. It serves as the brain of the engine, controlling various functions such as fuel injection timing and ignition timing to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The ECM receives input from various sensors located throughout the truck, including the oxygen sensor and throttle position sensor, to make adjustments to these functions in real-time.
