DESCRIPTION
An engine piston kit is a set of components that includes the piston, rings, and wrist pin. The piston is a cylindrical part that moves up and down inside the engine cylinder to transfer force from the expanding gas to the crankshaft. It is typically made of an aluminum alloy with a coating to reduce friction and wear. The rings are thin metal bands that fit around the piston to seal it against the cylinder wall and control oil consumption. The wrist pin, also called a piston pin or gudgeon pin, connects the piston to the connecting rod and allows it to pivot as it moves up and down.
