DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a set of components that make up the piston assembly in an engine. The engine piston kit, part number 4376537, typically includes one or more pistons, wrist pins, and piston rings. Pistons are cylindrical components that fit into the cylinder bore of an engine and move up and down during the combustion cycle. Wrist pins connect the piston to the connecting rod, allowing it to transfer power from the expanding gases to the crankshaft. Piston rings seal against the cylinder wall to prevent oil from entering and combustion gases from escaping. Replacing worn or damaged piston components with a new engine piston kit can help restore engine performance and reduce emissions.
