DESCRIPTION
Engine Brake Switch (Part Number: 4920060, Make: Cummins®):
The engine brake switch is a component designed to control the operation of the engine brake system in a commercial truck equipped with a Cummins® engine. Also known as a Jake brake switch, it allows the driver to engage or disengage the engine brake feature. When activated, the engine brake applies pressure to the exhaust valves, creating a braking effect by utilizing the engine's compression to slow down the vehicle. This switch provides a convenient way for the driver to enhance the braking performance of the truck, particularly when traveling downhill or in situations that require increased control and reduced wear on the conventional braking system.
