DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft is a key component in the engine of a truck. It converts the up and down motion of the pistons into rotational motion, which drives the wheels of the vehicle. The crankshaft is made up of several sections or journals, each with a connecting rod attached to it. As the pistons move up and down, they push and pull on these connecting rods, which in turn rotate the crankshaft. The rotation of the crankshaft is then transferred through various gears and components to ultimately drive the wheels. The 4981642 part number indicates a specific model or variation of crankshaft used in certain types of trucks.
