DESCRIPTION
An engine heater, also known as a block heater, is an electrical device that is used to warm up the engine of a vehicle in cold weather conditions. The engine heater is installed into the engine block and will warm up the coolant or oil that flows through the engine. This helps to reduce wear on the engine and improve fuel efficiency by allowing it to reach operating temperature more quickly. Engine heaters are especially useful for diesel engines, which can be difficult to start in cold weather due to their high compression ratios. By warming up the engine before starting it, an engine heater can ensure that it starts easily and runs smoothly even in very cold temperatures.
