Transfer Case
The transfer case is a component of a four-wheel drive vehicle that distributes power from the transmission to the front and rear axles. It is responsible for allowing the driver to switch between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive modes. The transfer case receives input from the transmission and uses gears to split power between the front and rear axles, allowing for better traction on difficult terrain.
