Transfer Case
The Transfer Case is a component of a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle that transfers power from the transmission to both front and rear axles. It is located between the transmission and the front and rear driveshafts. The Transfer Case allows for different speed ratios between the front and rear wheels, which is necessary for effective 4WD or AWD performance on various terrains.
