DESCRIPTION
The Engine Piston Kit (part number 5472938) is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, and circlips. It is designed for use in Cummins® diesel engines and is responsible for converting the energy generated by the combustion of fuel into mechanical motion. The piston moves up and down inside the engine cylinder, compressing the fuel and air mixture and then allowing it to expand and generate power. The piston rings help to seal the combustion chamber and prevent oil from entering the cylinder. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, which in turn transfers the motion to the crankshaft.
