The Piston Engine Kit, also known as part number AR5720, is a set of components used in the construction or repair of an internal combustion engine. The kit typically includes pistons, piston rings, connecting rods, wrist pins and circlips. The pistons are the heart of the engine and move up and down within the cylinder bore to compress air and fuel during the intake stroke and to generate power during the power stroke. The piston rings provide a seal between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent compression loss while also helping to transfer heat away from the piston. Connecting rods connect each piston to the crankshaft, transferring energy generated by combustion into rotary motion that drives wheels or other machinery. Wrist pins secure each connecting rod to its corresponding piston while circlips keep them in place. Together these components make up a critical part of any internal combustion engine's operation.
