DESCRIPTION
The Engine Fan, also known as the radiator fan, is a component in a truck's cooling system that helps to regulate the temperature of the engine. It is responsible for drawing air through the radiator and dissipating heat from the engine coolant. The Engine Fan typically consists of a motor, blades and a shroud. When the engine reaches operating temperature, the fan begins to spin, pulling air through the radiator and across fins that help transfer heat from the coolant to outside air passing over it. The Engine Fan is controlled by a thermostatic switch that turns it on and off based on engine temperature. If this component fails or malfunctions, it can cause overheating which can lead to serious damage to your truck's engine.
