DESCRIPTION
An engine piston kit is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. The piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the cylinder bore of an engine block. It is responsible for compressing air and fuel mixture in the combustion chamber during the compression stroke and transmitting energy to the crankshaft during the power stroke. The piston rings are metal rings fitted around the circumference of the piston to provide a seal between it and the cylinder wall, preventing compression loss and oil leakage. The wrist pin connects the connecting rod to the piston and allows for rotation as it moves up and down in response to engine cycles.
