DESCRIPTION
A engine piston kit is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. These parts work together to transfer energy from the combustion process to the crankshaft, which powers the vehicle. The piston is a cylindrical component that moves up and down within the engine cylinder. As fuel is ignited, it creates pressure which pushes the piston downward, transferring energy to the crankshaft. The rings help seal in combustion gases and lubricating oil while also transferring heat away from the piston. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod which transfers motion to the crankshaft.
