DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a set of components that make up the piston assembly in an internal combustion engine. The kit typically includes a piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. The piston is the component that moves up and down in the cylinder bore, transferring energy from the fuel-air mixture to the crankshaft. The piston rings seal the gap between the piston and cylinder wall, preventing combustion gases from escaping and oil from entering the combustion chamber. Finally, the wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, allowing for movement while maintaining alignment between these components.
