DESCRIPTION
An Exhaust Manifold is a component of a truck's exhaust system that collects and directs the exhaust gases from each cylinder of the engine into one pipe. The manifold is typically made of cast iron or stainless steel and is bolted to the engine's cylinder head. Its primary function is to channel hot gases away from the engine, reducing backpressure and improving performance. Additionally, the manifold can also help reduce harmful emissions by evenly distributing exhaust gases to the catalytic converter. Over time, an Exhaust Manifold may develop cracks or leaks which can negatively impact performance and fuel efficiency. It is important to regularly inspect this component for signs of damage and replace it as necessary with a suitable replacement part such as Part Number 214995.
