DESCRIPTION
The exhaust manifold is a component of a truck's engine that collects exhaust gases from the engine cylinders and directs them to the exhaust system. It is typically made of cast iron or stainless steel and is bolted onto the cylinder head of the engine. The manifold's primary function is to collect hot exhaust gases from each cylinder and channel them into a single pipe called the collector. From there, the gases are directed to the vehicle's catalytic converter and muffler before they are expelled out of the tailpipe. A properly functioning exhaust manifold is critical for efficient operation of your truck's engine, as it helps improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and prevent damage to other engine components.
