DESCRIPTION
The Exhaust Brake Assembly is a component used in diesel trucks to assist with braking. It works by restricting the flow of exhaust gases out of the engine, which creates back pressure and slows down the vehicle. The assembly consists of a valve that is installed in the exhaust system, as well as wiring and controls to activate it. When the driver applies the brakes or releases the accelerator pedal, the exhaust brake engages automatically to supplement or replace conventional braking methods. This helps reduce wear on brake pads and rotors, and also provides more control when towing heavy loads or driving downhill. The Part Number for this particular Exhaust Brake Assembly is 3803913.
