DESCRIPTION
An Exhaust Valve is a component in the engine of a truck that controls the flow of exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber. It is a cylindrical metal shaft with a flat head that opens and closes an opening in the cylinder head. The 4982895 part number corresponds to a specific type of exhaust valve used in certain models of trucks. When the piston moves up, it compresses air and fuel mixture which ignites and pushes it down again. As this happens, exhaust gases are forced out through open valves into an exhaust manifold then through pipes to be expelled from the vehicle. A properly functioning Exhaust Valve ensures that these emissions are released efficiently while minimizing noise and vibration.
