DESCRIPTION
An Exhaust Manifold (part number 4994287) is a component of an engine's exhaust system that collects the exhaust gases from each cylinder and directs them into a single pipe, known as the exhaust pipe. It is typically made of cast iron or stainless steel and is bolted to the engine's cylinder head. The manifold must be designed to withstand high temperatures and corrosive gases produced by the engine, such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides. A faulty or cracked manifold can lead to poor engine performance, decreased fuel efficiency, and increased emissions. Therefore, it is important for this component to be regularly inspected and maintained by a qualified mechanic.
