The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Test Kit (part number 5298935) is a diagnostic tool used to measure the quality of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in trucks equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. The kit includes test strips that are dipped into a sample of DEF and change color based on the concentration of urea, the active ingredient in DEF. By comparing the color of the test strip to a chart provided with the kit, technicians can determine if the DEF meets industry standards and is functioning properly. This helps ensure that SCR systems are operating efficiently and reducing harmful emissions as intended.
