DESCRIPTION
The Exhaust Gas Urea Mixer, also known as the EGR Urea Mixer and identified by part number 5546155, is a component of a truck's Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. It mixes diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), which contains urea, with exhaust gas before it enters the SCR catalytic converter. This mixture helps to lower nitrous oxide (NOx) emissions by converting them into nitrogen and water vapor. The EGR Urea Mixer plays an important role in reducing harmful emissions from diesel engines and is essential for compliance with emission regulations.
