DESCRIPTION
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Kit (EGR Cooler Kit), also known as part number 5566888, is a component of a truck's emissions control system. The EGR system recirculates a portion of the engine's exhaust gases back into the intake manifold to reduce emissions. The EGR cooler kit cools the exhaust gas before it is reintroduced into the engine to prevent overheating and reduce NOx emissions. It typically includes an EGR cooler, gaskets, bolts, and other necessary hardware for installation. A malfunctioning EGR cooler can result in decreased engine performance and increased emissions.
