DESCRIPTION
An Exhaust Manifold Blanket, also known as a heat shield, is a component that is designed to protect the exhaust manifold from the excessive heat generated by the engine. It is made of an insulating material that helps to reduce the temperature of the exhaust gases before they reach the manifold. The blanket can be installed on both diesel and gasoline engines and is particularly useful in reducing engine compartment temperatures for turbocharged or performance engines. The main purpose of this component is to prevent heat damage to nearby components while improving overall engine efficiency.
