The exhaust manifold, part number 4386649, manufactured by Cummins®, is a crucial component in the commercial truck's engine system. It is responsible for collecting and channeling the exhaust gases produced during the combustion process out of the engine cylinders. The exhaust manifold connects directly to the cylinder head and houses individual passages for each exhaust port. Its primary function is to collect the hot, pressurized exhaust gases and direct them into the exhaust system, where they are eventually expelled from the vehicle.
