DESCRIPTION
An exhaust valve is a component of an internal combustion engine that opens and closes to allow the exhaust gases to escape from the combustion chamber. The exhaust valve is typically made of stainless steel and is designed to withstand high temperatures and corrosive gases. When the piston reaches the bottom of its stroke, the exhaust valve opens, allowing the hot gases to escape from the cylinder. The exhaust valve then closes at the top of its stroke, sealing off the combustion chamber and allowing for compression on the next stroke.
