DESCRIPTION
A fan clutch is a component of a truck's engine cooling system that helps regulate the speed of the engine fan. The part number for this specific fan clutch is 3106070. The fan clutch engages and disengages the engine fan as needed to ensure that the engine stays within its optimal temperature range. When the temperature rises, the clutch engages, causing the fan to spin faster and pull more air through the radiator. As the temperature decreases, the clutch disengages and allows the fan to slow down or stop altogether, conserving energy and reducing noise levels.
