DESCRIPTION
The Fan Pulley, also known as the Idler Pulley, is a component of a truck's engine that is responsible for driving the accessory belt system. It is typically located at the front of the engine and mounted on a bracket. The Fan Pulley rotates with the engine and provides tension to the accessory belt which drives components such as the alternator, power steering pump, and air conditioning compressor. It is designed to be durable and long-lasting, but can become worn or damaged over time due to constant use. A malfunctioning Fan Pulley can result in decreased performance of these components or even complete failure. Replacement should be done promptly to ensure proper operation of the vehicle's systems.
