DESCRIPTION
A Fan Clutch is a component of a truck's cooling system that regulates the speed of the engine fan based on the temperature of the engine. It is designed to improve fuel efficiency by reducing the amount of power needed to turn the fan when it is not required, such as during colder temperatures or when driving at higher speeds. The clutch engages and disengages based on a bi-metallic coil that expands and contracts with changes in temperature.
