DESCRIPTION
A flywheel is a rotating mechanical device that is used to store kinetic energy. In trucks, the flywheel is typically attached to the engine's crankshaft and its primary function is to smooth out any fluctuations in engine power output caused by the combustion process. It does this by absorbing any excess energy during the power stroke and releasing it during the compression stroke. This helps to maintain a steady rotational speed of the engine and reduces wear on other components such as the transmission and drivetrain. The part number for this particular flywheel is 5348506.
