DESCRIPTION
The Flywheel Housing Cover, also known as the bell housing, is a metal cover that encloses the flywheel and clutch assembly in a truck's transmission system. This part is bolted to the engine block and serves as a protective housing for the flywheel and clutch, preventing debris from entering and protecting them from external damage. The Flywheel Housing Cover also provides support for the transmission itself. In addition to being durable and resistant to high temperatures, it must be precisely machined to ensure proper alignment of the transmission and engine components. Part Number 9246 refers to a specific model of Flywheel Housing Cover designed for use in trucks with certain engine configurations.
