DESCRIPTION
The fuel injection pump is a component of the fuel system that is responsible for delivering fuel to the engine cylinders at the correct time and in the correct quantity. The Cummins® fuel injection pump, part number 3907648, is designed specifically for use in Cummins® diesel engines. It is a high-pressure pump that uses a plunger and barrel assembly to pressurize the fuel and deliver it to the injectors. The pump is driven by the engine's camshaft and is calibrated to deliver the correct amount of fuel based on the engine's speed and load.
